JOB SUMMARY
The Department Administrative Coordinator supports the Case Management staff by providing clerical support for the department’s Offie Manager, Case Managers, Social Workers and Utilization Review nurses. This role includes but is not limited to: arranging post-discharge services such as transportation, issuing Important Message from Medicare (IMM) Letters, Medicare Outpatient Observation Notices (MOON), providing updates to commercial payers, as well as necessary discharge planning updates to the hospital care team staff.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum Work Experience Three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably in a healthcare or service environment Required Licenses/Certifications Not applicable Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Proficient compute skills with experience in: MS Outlook, MS Office (Word, Excel), internet navigation, clinical and financial based software preferred Knowledge of medical terminology helpful Must be able to work independently and must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to function as a team member and appropriately seek supervision as needed Demonstrate the ability to organize and prioritize Demonstrate the ability to interact with all levels of staff in a courteous and professional manner
