From operational leadership and crew planning to safety and service procedures, our Inflight Services team provides the innovative approaches, tools, training and guidance needed for our flight attendants to deliver the best possible customer experience, and aid in our mission to become the best airline in the history of aviation. **Key Responsibilities:** The Specialist - Cabin Systems & Interiors is responsible for the development, implementation and auditing of aircraft interior projects to support the appropriate functionality, safety, and regulatory compliance of the flight attendant workplace and to promote customer safety and comfort onboard the aircraft. The Specialist will work with interfacing departments and aircraft manufacturers and integrators to determine cabin configuration, galley, lavatory, stowage, lighting, and crew rest design, along with customer-facing components for all new and reconfigured aircraft. The role will also support aircraft certification activities and work closely with the training and policy & procedures teams to ensure cabin features are appropriately reflected in all manuals and training materials. The role will also analyze aircraft data trends while incorporating SMS risk analysis principles. The responsibilities for this position include: + Conduct new aircraft final interior inspection, induction, and conformity audits + Support the development and implementation of aircraft interior projects to support flight attendants and customers + Serve as subject matter expert in aircraft interior programs and configurations + Performs audits to ensure cabin interiors, systems, and equipment are in regulatory and company compliance + Communicate with flight attendants on cabin design and system issues + Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Network Strategy, Catering Operations, and other applicable departments to ensure all aircraft interior designs comply with company and regulatory standards + Complete comprehensive analysis across numerous data sources, summarizes information, identifies, escalates, and presents trends to Inflight leadership + Effectively utilize audit data to convey trends and analysis to both internal and external operational stakeholders, per United's SMS program **Qualifications** **What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):** + Bachelor's degree and/or 4 years of equivalent work experience + Two to four years of related experience + Technical and operational familiarity with cabin communication, galley and entertainment systems, emergency equipment, and aircraft certification standards + Excellent written and oral communication skills + Attention to detail + Ability to convey technical information in a succinct and discernible manner to executive leadership + Ability to read, write, and speak in English **What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):** + Bachelor's degree + Understanding of the United Flight Attendant CBA + Flight attendant qualified United Airlines is an equal-opportunity employer. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
