Role purpose/Business Unit:

 

The Specialist Continuous Improvement will report into the Principal Specialist Continuous Improvement and will be responsible for the facilitation of continuous improvement workshops to ensure that effective CI frameworks and tools are applied to achieve the required benefits.   
 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

Analysis

Analyse operational performance data and identify problems in early stagesDevelop problem charter for CI InitiativesDetail data analysis to determine root cause of business problemEnd-to-end business process designDocument findings and recommendationsCompile business cases for CI initiativesPost implementation reviews on CI initiatives

Continuous Improvement (CI)

Facilitate CI workshops with cross-functional teams using CI tools and techniques Provides CI training to relevant leadership and business resourcesSupports the development and on-going relevance of Vodacom South Africa’s CI framework

Project Management 

Project manages individual CI office initiativesCollaborates with all relevant internal and external parties to develop and implement solutionsKeeps all stakeholders updated by conducting progress meetings (performance against KPIs) and reportingEnsures sound inter group relationships, by ensuring timeous response to requests, information and requirementsFirst line of conflict resolution outside of individual initiatives

Stakeholder management 

Builds effective professional relationships with business partnersManages expectations key stakeholders and keeps commitments or promises


 

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

MatricThis role requires a broad and comprehensive understanding in multiple disciplines relevant to the business 3 to 5 years’ experience.3-year Degree/Diploma or 5yrs experience with:Change management Stakeholder management Proven business analysis skillsLeading and supervisory skillsPersuading and influencingPlanning and organising


Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

Strong analytical; research and forecasting skillsAbility to work cross functionally in order to achieve desired resultsStrong presentation skillsExcellent verbal and written skillsCustomer focus with regards to understanding the service being delivered
