Introduction

The Optimised Mill Lining product group is responsible for the offering and solutions that create and continuously improve customer value by combining Mill Lining products, value added services, and tools, digitally enabled information, and product and customer process expertise.

 

This newly created role will take an active role in our exciting journey towards being a Tier 1 company, by contributing to the successful growth of building value-adding solutions to our customers.

 

The location of this global position is to be determined by the successful applicants closest location to a major Metso office.

 

Please note only those with full working rights to these office locations will be considered as no visa support is available for relocation.

 

What you will do?

Acting as the digitalisation, maintenance planning and reliability engineering expert in the mill lining business area; the successful candidate will work with our sales and product development teams to determine and productise value solutions, support sales opportunities, and develop growth strategies. Additionally, you will support the greater mill lining business with technical support with maintenance planning and reliability engineering advice and support. The key accountabilities and responsibilities are;

Development and deployment of innovative business models that allow seamless integration of digital tooling, reline services and reline machines with core products Acts as an internal digitalisation and reliability engineering consultant, specifying in mill relining procedures and mill shutdown planning and execution. Supplying expertise and advice to mill lining Business Area (BA) and Market Area (MA) Mill Lining Technical Sales Support (TSS) teams Key strategic driver of Optimized Mill Lining product and value management, determination, development and deployment  Develop and govern additional services related to Mill Lining product offering Mill reline value determination, business development and deployment  Interlink between BA, Expert Services and other product groups to develop collaborative opportunities Idea generation and support for digital tools and systems within mill lining BA to support mill maintenance aspects of sales cases and analysis Development of continuous and proactive optimisation elements into contractual supply agreements, including performance-based concepts Key member for market area and site-specific proactive sales strategies and win plans Mill maintenance benefit analysis and communication: Measuring and demonstrating customer value as delivered by mill lining design updates for new and existing customers. Both internally and to market. Generating literature and presenting at industry events Ensures fulfillment of all QEHS rules and regulations of Metso and Customers

 

The successful candidate will:

Be motivated, driven and have the ability to lead themselves. Hold masters level tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering disciplines 10+ years’ experience in the maintenance operations and/or reliability engineering of minerals processing concentrators including mill reline planning and execution. Have previous exposure to digital technology and services for mining, aggregates, recycling and metal refining industries and/or minerals processing operations. Display a visionary, continuous improvement mindset, actively challenging the status quo with a focus on long term goals Have strong commercial acumen with a customer oriented outlook. Show a high level of communication and customer service skills. Have a strong focus on safety, built on transparent and open communication Have the ability to travel as required by Motor Vehicle or Commercial or Charter Flights.
