Position Overview
The Specialist, Product Marketing, supports the Product Manager/Lead in the execution of product Marketing activities for a specific jewelry collection. This role will follow and help bring to life entire category portfolio (newness + existing lines) with that Product (Lead / Manager) to ensure a balanced mix of innovative, high-growth, and core sustaining products. This role assists in new product development and pricing analysis, ensuring accuracy of information and efficient communication across teams. The Specialist actively owns and follows projects and collections, is a force of proposal, and contributes to the development of reports, presentations, and analyses to develop product strategies and support business objectives. 

Location: This is an in-person position, 4 days a week, at our Corporate Headquarters in New York, NY.


Key Accountabilities

New Product Support

Supports the creation and maintenance of product calendars and mappings throughout various stages of development, ensuring accuracy of item detail. Ensures that product details within category architectures are systematically maintained and milestones are tracked appropriately. Assists with research, analysis of product offerings and recommendations to inform new product development, and understands what that entails in order to propose ideas. Analyzes classification, price point, and sales trends to inform decisions on product introductions.

Pricing Support

Assists with the execution and implementation of margin reviews and pricing strategies. Supports the team in efforts to conduct analysis and gather comparable product information to inform pricing and margin targets. Supports manager with model pricing scenarios and validating pricing based on sales volume and margin drivers. 

Lifecycle Management & Supporting Projects

Assists with recommendations, execution and implementation of lifecycle planning reviews. Supports the development of reports and presentations regarding collections and trends, with accurate knowledge of it all, as well as new product introductions and product follow-ups. Participates in regular meetings to connect with the various stakeholders and is expected to be knowledgeable with the process, playing an active role in helping the manager (Product Lead / Manager), by performing weekly competitor field research and reporting it effectively Effectively manages the project, providing valuable intel to implement follow-up work effectively.

Cross-Functional Communication

Assists in maintaining the various architectures, sales, and sales reports and presentations as-needed. Supports communication efforts with internal teams, with strong data to get the right message across. Is expected to provide information about the product at large and its target audience, and know what’s happening on the portfolio, also in order to be at the forefront of new trends that might allow added value. Be very well connected with Sales Merch, Retail, stores and be an ambassador for the Product, also be on the look out on all there is in order to be at the forefront of new trends.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field 3+ years of experience Strong curiosity and knowledge of jewelry and fashion industry General knowledge of the jewelry design, materials, and manufacturing processes are well received Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Exceptional communication, presentation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a high-level working team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge with product lifecycle management (PLM) software

 

The hiring range for this position ranges from $77,010 - $104,190. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.
