Specialist I, Fiduciary Admin

The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is growing rapidly and is seeking a new member to join the Collective Investment Trust (CIT) team.   As a Specialist, you will be responsible for the servicing requirements of our Collective Investment Trust from an investment perspective – with a strong and balanced view to risk oversight.


SEI’s CIT Team is responsible for establishing and maintaining collective trusts under the rules of its direct regulator and standards of the Department of Labor, Internal Revenue Service and other regulatory bodies. This team works closely with internal divisions including the ITA, IFS, Compliance, Legal, etc.
 

What you will do:

·       Conduct a daily review of collective investment funds’ (the, “Funds”) information that compares fund trades / holdings to the applicable investment guidelines. Escalate / address issues appropriately.

·       Work with the Funds’ Advisors to promptly resolve deviations from the Investment Guidelines promptly.  

·       Work with the Funds’ Advisors to proactively discuss and implement necessary or desired changes to the Investment Guidelines in a responsible manner reflective of STC’s fiduciary responsibility.

·       Assist in resolving ad-hoc issues that may arise.

·       Proactively identify opportunities for improving the risk profile of our business.

·       Conduct a review via Annual and Quarterly Due Diligence forms, periodic conference calls and/or on-site meetings and, document summarize the key findings for team / management / committee review/ approval.

·       Coordinate the receipt of and maintain Fund policies and procedures (i.e. proxy voting and best execution) in an organized fashion.

·       Prepare, review and present materials for the periodic trust investment committee meeting.

What we need from you:

·       B.S/B.A. (Business or related field preferred) or equivalent work experience.

·       Minimum 2 years prior relevant work experience, ideally in Asset Management or Banking.

·       Detail-oriented.

·       Strong aptitude for numbers.

·       Excellent interpersonal skills.

·       Ability to work under pressure and perform job responsibilities within deadlines.

·       Ability to recognize potential problems and escalate them appropriately.

·       Must be a team player, capable of interacting with senior management, leaders, legal / compliance / risk, market unit partners.

·       Excellent communication / presentation skills both on a verbal and written level.

·       Knowledge of Microsoft Excel for Windows and an aptitude for computer systems.

·       Proven initiative & problem solving skills with thorough follow-up.

·       Logical and Analytical.

·       Possess natural curiosity & inquisitiveness, particularly in financial markets.

·       Independent Self Starter

·       Regular and reliable attendance in accordance with position, business and/or client needs.
