Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Patient Financial Specialist I

Role Overview:

Resolves full accounts including hold bills, and tasks related to edits, Coordination of Benefits, Rejections, and Insurance, updating past and future visits as neededEnsure accounts are coded with accuracyInquire on specific accounts and reports as directed by management;Contact patients and respond to return calls\emails as needed in order to obtain current insurance information and provide counseling on out-of-network plans

Key Qualifications:

Detailed, highly organized, and able to perform with a high level of accuracyAn excellent communicator with excellent written and verbal skillsAble to exercise judgment in applying departmental policies and procedures when dealing with complex problems, without constant direct supervision

Core Skills:

2-4 years of experience in a health care billing operations requiredA strong understanding insurance and eligibilityDetailed knowledge in working with a computer-based account

Additional Information:

Location: MSK WestchesterSchedule: 3-4 times a week and the schedule varies between 9am and 7pm Monday thorough Friday, including a Saturday rotationReporting to: Supervisor, Patient Financial ServicesPay Range: $25.65 - $38.42 Hourly
