Global Shared Services Product Management Planning team helps shape the product planning process, aligning cross-functional teams to make our business opportunities a reality across Nike’s diverse Brand Marketing business.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Product Planner who will help shape the seasonal product plan that will inform product buys across multiple categories. You will be vital on networking with key stakeholders to ensure smooth flow of information to the team. This role will support forecasting and analysis for core and seasonal buys for product categories. The ideal candidate will be an excellent problem solver, strategic in thinking, good public speaker and have strong self-learning capabilities.

To be a successful product planner, you must have excellent analytical skills. The ability to develop and implement Brand Marketing strategies and translate that to the Product Planning Team to influence product ordering. A great planner must have sound logic to make observations about Nike’s current methods and where improvements are needed.  You will have experience in leading complex strategic projects and demonstrated success in leading a methodical process of analyzing problems, gathering information, generating options, then proposing and acting on a course of action. The candidate would have a proven track record to pull together diverse individuals with different goals and facilitate productive discussions.

You will analyze key performance indicators (KPI’s) to help proactively identify, monitor and report on seasonal product utilization rates while constantly looking optimize seasonal buys. You will have effective written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated leadership in delivering business results to elevate GBM product planning. You will align processes, resources-planning and department goals with overall strategy. 

You should be obsessed with contributing to the development of a high-performance culture through rigorous goal setting, disciplined attention to performance metrics, and continuous self and process improvement. The successful candidate will be analytical, highly detail-oriented, exceptionally well organized, collaborative, have a positive attitude, take initiative, be a problem-solver and have excellent communication skills.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be working with Product, Brand, Merch, Product Ordering and Brand Product Execution teams to deliver product to the facilities and execution spaces. You will be key in building relationships and maintains positive attitude, consistent engagement and contribute to GBM community. Through partnerships with Brand Marketing teams, you will engage early and partner with key stakeholders in the planning process to discuss impact of product availability on seasonal brand initiatives to shape and deliver a realistic plan. You will think of the future through cross functional project priorities alignment across leaders and stakeholders to drive tangible outcomes for GBM and Nike. 

You will be expected to contribute and support Product Planning process improvement and strategy solution building. You will be always thinking of areas of improvement for the product planning process through identifying areas for improvement.  You will also work on supporting your team through onboarding of new Global Brand Partners to the team’s Planning processes

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will partner with Brand Marketing, Product, Merchandising and other relevant teams to align product availability with Brand seasonal strategies and stories. You will serve as a resource for Brand Product Experts, Brand Directors and Brand Managers on seasonal product flow as well as supporting the creation and implementation of strategic brand plans that fuel consumer demand, strengthen the Nike brand and shape Nike’s connection with consumers and athletes across the globe.

You will be key in building relationships and maintains positive attitude, consistent engagement and contribute to GBM community. You will be integral in partnering with a variety of teams - between Product, Brand, Merch, Product Ordering and Brand Product Expert teams.

WHAT YOU BRING

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain or related fieldProven experience as a Strategic Planner or Business Consultant3-5+ years' experience in Product Planning, Business, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Communications, Sports Marketing, Account Management, Planning or related fieldKnowledge of business operations and proceduresExceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsOrganizational leadership skillsAble to successfully manage multiple priorities against business goalsAbility to problem-solve in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentSelf-motivated, attention to detail, results oriented and well organizedAdvanced skills in Excel, Planning/Enterprise Planning systems a plusIntermediate skillset with Tableau Prep Builder and Desktop Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OutlookPassion/expertise for sports products (footwear, apparel and equipment) and youth cultureExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations to work cross-functionally and globally Ability to anticipate, identify and elevate risks and issues and to head them off proactivelyAbility to work within ambiguous and ever-changing environmentDriven team player with a desire to improve self, team and Nike
