You’ll also have access to: + Career development with an international company where you can grow the career you dream of . + Free medical coverage for employees* via the Health Investment Plan (HIP) PPO + An excellent retirement savings plan with high employer contribution + Tuition reimbursement, the Freedom 2 Save (https://www.abbott.com/corpnewsroom/strategy-and-strength/tackling-student-debt-for-our-employees.html) student debt program and FreeU (https://www.abbott.com/corpnewsroom/strategy-and-strength/college-degree-for-free-its-possible-with-freeu.html) education benefit - an affordable and convenient path to getting a bachelor’s degree. + A company recognized as a great place to work in dozens of countries around the world and named one of the most admired companies in the world by Fortune. + A company that is recognized as one of the best big companies to work for as well as a best place to work for diversity, working mothers, female executives, and scientists. **The Opportunity** This position works out of our Minnetonka, MN, location in the Cardiac Rhythm Technologies (CRM) division. **Main Purpose of Role** To provide employees and customers with timely, accurate and safe shipping & receiving services. **What You’ll Work On** + Pulls material from warehouse stock using a pick list and possibly radio-frequency device (e.g., identifying the specific part number, lot number quantity and location of all material pulled). + Utilizes a bar code scanner to scan items for material airlock pick list. + Transports material (e.g., production and non-production materials) using a forklift, pallet jack, or truck to the designated location. + Responsible for the management / maintenance of specific materials assigned. + Participate and complete cycle count activities on a weekly basis. + Performs SAP transactions to clearly identify status of material. + Examines all packages visually at the time of delivery for any damage, and compares the identity and quantities listed on the packing slips, invoices and freight bills to the packages to ensure the information is accurate. + Lifts packages up to 50 lbs. + Participates in the training of new team members. + Provide customer service to a wide scope of customers (e.g. Engineering, technicians, production, management). + Enters material information (e.g P.O. number) into business computer system and generate receipt travelers. + Assignments require some judgment, initiative, and creativity in trouble shooting. + (Planning/Organization) prioritize daily tasks to meet material kan-ban demands, and maintain a neat and orderly workplace. + (Decision Making/Impact) Solves a wide range of complex problems and tasks with minimal guidance. + Accurate in counting /reconciling quantities. + Understands organizational structure and positions of key employees. + Receives no appreciable instruction on routine work. + Participates in receiving of material from customer for service + Clearly communicate ideas, problems and solutions to both manufacturing management and engineering **Shift** Monday through Thursday, 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, with potential overtime **Required Qualifications** + High School Diploma / GED + Minimum 3 years Material handling experience in a related manufacturing environment + Knowledge of Domestic and International shipping regulations and documentation, logistic transportation methods, material handling equipment, computer-based shipping and inventory systems and ISO guidelines. Skills in hazardous material handling and shipping. + The ability to operate a lift truck, negotiate freight costs and terms, communicate with all levels of personnel, work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. **Preferred Qualifications** + Assoiates Degree or some college credits preferred. + SAP experience * Participants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan. The base pay for this position is $18.70 – $37.40 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
