Specialist II General Ledger

In this capacity, you will prepare high-quality reports and reconciliation, collaborate with internal and external customers, and help to identify process improvements to provide excellent financial service to Emerson as a member of the Global Financial Services Manila organization. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

To perform bank reconciliation and month-end financial activities. To validate the accuracy of data, verify discrepancies, and resolve reconciling transactions. To perform balance sheet account reconciliation, analyze the account details to validate the correctness of the balance, and reconcile with other system modules. To collaborate closely and connect with various partners for critical deliverables. To check for completeness and validate compliance of reports. To prepare and post Journal entries; troubleshoot and resolve disputes encountered on entries. To prepare and provide supporting documents for audit requirements.  To perform Fixed Assets Accounting, assist in preparing ad hoc reports, and perform other tasks as assigned.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Accounting-related courses. 3 years of work experience in general accounting, majority of which should be in General Ledger performing bank reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, fixed assets, and audit support. Solid understanding of internal control and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, including Oracle and SAP. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
