Specialist Inside Commercial Sales

As the Specialist, Inside Commercial Sales, you connect our stores with purchasing, logistics, and finance to ensure high-value commercial orders are executed quickly and seamlessly. When a store lands a major Pro sale, you’re the person that helps make it real—fast, flawlessly, and with the customer in mind.

HOURS

11:00am - 8:00pm ET

Monday - Thursday in office, Friday remote

PURPOSE
This position is responsible for supporting the Pro Services teams within the stores with large commercial sales purchases. The person in this role will serve as a conduit between the stores, purchasing, logistics and finance teams. In addition, he/she will manage the large order process utilizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), assist stores with large order contracts, deposits, bids and field questions via alloy tickets, emails and phone. They will present large order deals to the Store Support Center teams packaged for decisions and actions to be made quickly.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive and process requests for large sales purchases from the storesValidate all needed items, answer any questions and present to the Store Support Center (SSC) teams for a decision and/or further action(s)Communicate with store to obtain additional information if needed prior to a final decision being madeFollow-up with the SSC and stores key dates to complete the sales and satisfy the customer.Work with the purchasing and inventory teams to procure product currently available or if a special purchase order (PO) is neededStay current on merchandise training, new products and product linesPartner with the SSC logistics team to coordinate special delivery requestsAssist the SSC Pro Services team with additional projects as needed


MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

1-2 years of relevant experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the companyExperience working in a retail environment a plusExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Strong analytical skills and problem-solvingMust be detail-oriented and highly organizedStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate level Excel)Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment


WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)

Limited travel required by air and car travelThe noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.


PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
