Nature & Purpose of Position Performs highly advanced specialist duties in student event planning and student engagement for College of Criminal Justice. Primary Responsibilities Position works within the College of Criminal Justice in the following areas: student engagement/student initiatives, student centric events, and student success and retention. Primary workload responsibilities will revolve around COCJ event planning and facilitation. Plans and coordinates events to include Saturdays at Sam, Summer Camp, Orientation, CJ Real Talks, Back to School Bash, End of Year Celebration, and other various college events. Attends and coordinates recruitment events both on and off-campus to include high school/transfer college recruitment fairs, conferences, and other recruitment opportunities. Closely interacts with COCJ Center staff to ensure upcoming events are communicated accurately.
Performs highly advanced specialist duties. Accountable for the execution and follow through of complex and technical responsibilities. Plans, develops, implements, coordinates and monitors programs or services. Responds to information requests. Collects, reconciles, and maintains complex data. Coordinates and implements departmental processes. Monitors project timelines and identifies issues. Prepares letters, correspondence, and reports. Develops, coordinates, and implements assigned processes. Responsible for ensuring accurate and update website content related to student engagement. Provides assistance with and interprets policies and procedures. Coordinate and supervise program activities. May process purchasing, travel, Pcard, and monitor program budget on as needed basis. Performs other related duties as assigned. Other Specifications Requires detailed knowledge of university infrastructure, policies and procedures. Requires thorough knowledge of office systems. Must have the ability to solve operational problems and make suggestions for process improvement.
