Job Description:
The Program Finance Analyst position will be responsible for the financial management, review, and forecasting of assigned programs. They partner with program management and project teams to analyze and understand their financial position. The Analyst will prepare quarterly, monthly, and weekly financial reports, both internal and external as required, validate Actual cost reporting, support monthly closing activities, support establishment and maintenance of project baselines and forecasts, and be responsible for project setup and maintenance with the financial systems.
Essential Functions:
Review and prepare project billings to ensure customer invoices are accurateManaging the entire invoicing process on different contract types: CPFF, FFP, FIFP, and possibly T&M. Sending reminders for overdue payments and communicating with Program Managers and customers regarding outstanding balances.Addressing customer inquiries and concerns related to payments.Collaborating with Program Managers, Contracts, and internal/external customer to provide exceptional customer support.Generating insightful reports and analysis for management. Compiling data to evaluate the organization’s financial performance.Identifying trends, potential risks, and areas for improvement.Help identify, generate, and ensure the proper recording and documentation of any required correcting entriesProactively work with Program Management and the project team in supporting the programs’ financial performance and requirementsCreating and maintaining projects within Deltek Costpoint, FCSTGov, and Cobra financial systems, consistently in accordance with company procedureSupports the maintenance of the financial forecasts: Estimates at Completion (EACs) and Latest Revised Estimates (LREs), working with the project team as needed to obtain inputs to meet deadlinesProvide recommendations on financial performance projections to management based on business knowledge and experienceOther special projects as directed by management such as reconciliations, cleanup of migrated or closed projects, etc.Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environmentQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field and a minimum of 2 - 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office applications, specifically ExcelUS citizenship required.Preferred Additional Skills:
