About the Role
As the Specialist Group Risk, Insurance & Audit (GRIA) Data Analytics, you will execute the end-to-end development and maintenance of Business Intelligence tools and platforms in line with data management and governance standards to deliver high quality data driven insights for business strategy and operations. You will also participate in data analytics activities to support specific Internal Audits.
Other accountabilities will include:
Utilize Power BI to build interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports with the following parameters: Build multi-dimensional data models Develop strong data documentation about algorithms, parameters, models Perform detailed analysis on tested and deployed Power BI scripts Identify the requirements and develop custom charts accordingly Uses Advanced Excel and Power Query capabilities, including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas and macros to streamline and automate business processes Analyses and models data to draw out insights and solutions that address hypotheses and business challenges. Develops and communicates insights that guide data driven action and decision making. Uses, stores, classifies, assesses and processes data/metadata in alignment with BHPs standards and requirements for data quality management, integrity and governance. Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's Risk Management Global Standard and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes. Strong Business Intelligence experience - Building risk and internal audit dashboards and reporting tools end to end Data Discovery against business objectives Definition of Metrics and Translation to data Model Data Modelling, able to design data model /concept and understand the solution architecture in Cloud infrastructure Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with proven ability to deliver actionable insights Requirements Gathering / Gap Analysis: Business consulting interaction, Documentation Data manipulation: translation, prototyping, problem solving Technical data expertise: advanced SQL and python skills Experience in building automation solutions using VBA/ automation tools Proven ability to communicate insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders clearly and concisely, both in verbal and written formats.
