About the Role

 

 

Primarily responsible to manage the development and deployment of BHP reward projects, frameworks and tools within the Americas Region. High analytical capacity to translate numerical analysis into insights and recommendation is required, desirable experience leading projects.

 

Main Accountabilities:

•    Support, leads and recommend the design and maintenance of the Total Reward structure, including remunerations, benefits, recognition and wellbeing programs.  
•    Role requires adaptability, creativity and influence to be able to implement constant improvement initiatives.
•    Leads end-to-end projects, on remuneration, benefits, health insurance and other services, including leadership in bidding processes.  
•    Provide subject matter expertise and technical support to BHP in the Americas region on remuneration and benefit programs, both global and local. 
•    Proactively seek an understanding of, and provide insights to the business on, the relevant external salary market landscape, forecasts and movements and interpret the information for internal stakeholders.

 

About You

•    Professional degree related to the role. 
•    Logical thinking with a high capacity to translate it into a visual concept, accompanied by a level of influence that allows to engage internal and external stakeholders. 
•    Able to translate data analytics into commercial insights and strategic business priorities 
•    Fluent in Spanish and English. 
•    Experience leading an end to end project with high exposure and stakeholder management 
•    Excellent understanding of HR practices 
•    Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and strong analytical skills. 
•    Proficiency in use of the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Microsoft Excel and Power Point.


Highly regarded additional experience: 


•    Experience in reward practices and methodologies: job evaluations, job matching, external surveys, total Reward structures design, benefit offer improvement and organizational structures design among others. 
•    Technical expertise in remuneration and benefit programs, including ability to think conceptually, analyze, problem solve and drive practical solutions 
•    Experience supporting collective bargaining processes 
•    Experience leading bidding processes
•    Experience with the management and understanding of incentive plans, bonus pooling and relevant reward and remuneration processes 
•    Technical experience in reward practices and methodologies 
•    Technical experience in remuneration and benefit programs as well as strong people management (directly or indirectly) in a global company.
