Your impact
Enhance safety and sustainability by leveraging data to identify risks and opportunities, drive technical solutions, improve performance, develop digital innovations, and ensure informed decision-making.
As part of our team, you will Monitor and Diagnose Safety and Sustainability Systems Data – Continuously monitor and diagnose operational safety and sustainability processes across the enterprise, identifying deviations from optimal performance and diagnosing underlying issues affecting data accuracy and integrity. Analyze Data and Recommend Process Improvements – Analyze safety and sustainability data trends, reflecting on key insights to recommend process improvements that enhance data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and overall system performance. Diagnose Individual Cases and Compare Methods for Best Solutions – Diagnose specific instances of data discrepancies or system inefficiencies, compare various methods and approaches, and recommend the most effective solutions to improve data quality and operational processes. Formulate Alternative Methods for Continuous Improvement – Formulate and recommend alternative approaches for data collection, validation, and reporting processes to drive ongoing improvements and ensure alignment with safety and sustainability objectives. Provide comprehensive data analysis by performing analysis across data sources for risk identification, decision making and creative problem solving. Promote innovation by identifying and acting on opportunities for technology or other improvements to safety and sustainability data collection and management. Drive continuous improvement through hypothesis testing, identifying and advising on opportunities for innovation and risk reduction at operations. Deliver Effective Training Programs – Deliver comprehensive training sessions to business unit personnel, ensuring effective use of S&S systems and best practices for data entry, extraction, and reporting, thus improving operational processes across the enterprise. Provide Strategic Administrative Support for Continuous Improvement – Provide high-level administrative support, ensuring the efficient execution of safety and sustainability programs, identifying gaps or inefficiencies, and contributing to ongoing improvements. Consolidate and Deliver Strategic Reports to Support Enterprise Decision-Making – Consolidate complex safety and sustainability data, analyze insights, and deliver strategic reports that inform decision-making, risk management, and process optimization at all levels of the organization. Prerequisites for your success in this role Professional degree, preferably in sustainability, engineering, business, geoscience, finance, information technology or other related field. Working knowledge of applied data management and reporting concepts, methodologies and tools; and applicable software products. Awareness of safety and sustainability (environment, social responsibility, health and safety) areas of management and associated risk and opportunity management, in the resources industry preferred. Project management fundamentals. Change Management methodologies. Data analysis and related information communication approachesPrimary skills include data monitoring and analysis, identification and improvement of data and technology systems and processes, delivery of data as information to the business. Demonstrate advanced proficiency in the application systems, processes and activities of the safety & sustainability performance support center. The role also necessitates familiarity with applicable data management software products, including the ability to carry out specific activities using appropriate tools and processes to achieve defined business outcomes. The salary range offered for this role is USD $110,160- 144,585. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
