Role Summary – ServiceNow Developer
At Sun Life we’re hiring ServiceNow Developer who has a great technical background with ServiceNow. In this role you will be working closely with the existing technical, operational and business teams in Asia and Canada.
The ServiceNow Developer has a software development background that will be enhanced by Scripting in ServiceNow, and Application Creation in ServiceNow. The person will be responsible for design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements.
As a ServiceNow developer you will need to works across applications, deliver new functionality and innovative solutions, and supports the entire development lifecycle.
Core Responsibility
Develops the technical solutions, implements and performs the component integration tests
Custom / Scoped Application Development
Extensive experience on ITSM and ServiceNow Scripting
Experience on 3rd party Integrations
Provide expertise on all technical questions related to development on of SNOW.
Troubleshoot technical/application problems and provide ServiceNow Administration and Functional/Development support to user queries and issues
Perform Systems Integration Testing and manage/coordinate user acceptance testing.
Creation of technical and functional documents for ongoing maintenance items and projects.
Participate in testing when needed (platform upgrades).
To work with Business Analyst to verify acceptance criteria meets customer requirements.
Understand the business needs and the needs to standardize processes, and build this
into the design
Capable of working to deadline dates.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering
5-8 years of experience as ServiceNow development role
Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Java, REST, XML, HTML and CSS
Strong problem-solving, debugging skills and an aptitude for learning new technologies.
Knowledge of ITSM and ITIL
Mandate Skills
Proficiency with ServiceNow applications such as Change / Incident / Problem Management, Knowledge, Service portal etc.
Working knowledge on Integrating ServiceNow with other 3rd party tools
Should have experience related to Custom Applications and Studio based applications.
Proficiency with HTML, JavaScript-Angular JS, XML, AJAX, Jelly, CSS, SOAP, REST etc.
Strong working knowledge with different scripts of Service Now like Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Include, UI Action, UI Policy, and UI Pages
Strong understanding of Developing the Complex Catalog items, Workflows, Order Guides, Record producers etc.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
