About the Role
We are seeking a Signals Specialist who will contributes to the advisory, design, operation, maintenance and oversight of the Rail Signalling System components and sub-systems, and other associated systems maintained by Rail Network Maintenance.
You will:
Applies an understanding of Signals Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering and Rail related terminology, theory, key processes and activities Provides technical coaching to frontline team members to improve knowledge and capability. Employs specific/relevant discipline engineering expertise and leadership to meet BHP's technical expectations. Initiates, designs and manages projects completed within the Signals and Communications team. Assesses change impacts to prepare integrated change management plans, manages change readiness and resistance, and upskills leaders and impacted stakeholders in the adoption and successful delivery of the change. Determines the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems. Identifies, engages and manages a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders. Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes. Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence based decision making. Engages the capabilities of the entire organisation. Strives to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste. Works with a clear view of customer needs, measuring their own success through stretch goals and metrics. Adapts their plans to changing conditions and context, identifying and sharing new risks and opportunities with the team. Listens and clearly conveys information and updates, uses different communication methods to ensure others understanding the context, purpose, objectives, resources and time frame for work and tasks About You Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer systems, Control Systems or similar; or Trade certificate in Electrical; Ideal you will have a Graduate Diploma of Railway Signalling; Experience working in a Railway Signalling position (projects, construction, design or maintenance) About Our Process
