Job Description:

Education:

High School diploma or equivalentBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or similar field of study or equivalent work experience

Work Experience:

3+ years of professional social media or digital marketing experienceSocial media community management experience required  Background in digital analytics, digital media buying, social media engagement and community management preferredStrong creative writing and editing skillsPrior experience working with social media sites

Skills:

Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both internally and externallyAbility to work well under pressure while consistently meeting time sensitive deadlinesAnalytical with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skillsAbility to remain organized, pay attention to detail, and meet critical deadlinesEffective listening, writing and oral communication skillsCollaborative team player with ability to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to prioritize workload, meet multiple deadlines simultaneously in a fast paced, frequently changing environmentExcellent customer service skillsWork independently and contribute to team projectsProficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel,  and PowerPoint) and LotusNotes or similar e-mail systemProficient in Sprinklr or similar social media monitoring softwareAcceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties

Responsibilities:

Manage regional and vendor social media marketing initiatives, including but not limited to budget management, strategy, ads and content creationManage social media reporting on a weekly and monthly basisAccountable for all social media content requests and developing processes to streamline all campaignsSupport social media manager with national campaigns, including but not limited to budget management, overall strategy, ad support and content developmentSupport micro and scaled influencer strategy and plans to support key business driving windows in partnership with our PR teamSupport monitoring efforts in instances of crisis communicationsIdentify new business opportunities to strengthen the Academy brand on social mediaAct as company representative for Academy social media sites in the appropriate brand and voiceIdentify, evaluate and execute social media opportunities, stays on top of new and emerging trends in social media content and platformsServe as an internal liaison for social media with cross-functional teams for all social media platformsAssist in department budget management and planningSupport Communications team on planning and organization of public and media relations, community giving activities, internal communications and other business rhythms on an ad hoc basisDevelop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures and safety rulesDuties may change; team members may be required to perform other duties as assigned

Regular attendance requiredUp to 10% travel, as needed
