Job Title: Specialist, Supplier Quality Engineer Requisition Number: 21174 Job Location: Mason, OH Schedule: 9/80 Essential Functions: + Implement, interpret, and utilize metrics toward process improvement activities. + Manage a portfolio of ~25 suppliers (mechanical components, electronics components, wiring, optics, PWBs and CCAs). + Audit assigned suppliers in compliance with L3 internal policies and procedures. + Review and approve PPAP, APQP, and FAIR packages from suppliers. + Utilize sense of urgency to act to prevent or correct problems with products and post-delivery defects. + Assist in process improvement and process problem solutions on the factory floor. + Review Engineering and Manufacturing information on new and revised designs, specifications and bills of materials; production, tool and test equipment drawings; production and tool plans; operations and routing sheets: production, storage and shipping methods, and to assure that products meet customers' requirements. + Provide thorough and practical solutions to a wide range of technical problems utilizing manufacturing or engineering abilities. + Effectively interface and collaborate with Product Quality Engineering with customer requirements flow-down + Apply effective interpretation and application of Quality Standards, such as AS9100, IS)-9001, J-Stds, IPC standards, etc. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. + Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. + In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience and a combination of 5 years of Quality Engineer, Electrical, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineer experience. + Experience in reading and interpreting electrical designs/blueprints of complex nature. + Mechanical and/or electrical components experience. + Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards. + Must be knowledgeable of AS9100, ISO9001, NADCAP standards, J-STD Workmanship, ANSI J-Standards (Class 3) and IPC Workmanship Standards (Class 3) and TipQA . + Experience with problem-solving tools such as 8D, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, and CAPA. + Experience in working and communicating effectively in a team environment. + Experience working in a dynamic environment with multiple and changing priorities. + Experience with auditing suppliers’ QMS. + Must be a United States Citizen.
