You will be responsible for conducting in-depth technical investigations, analysing challenges, and developing solutions that enhance designs and improve overall system performance.

 

Your role will involve producing high-quality technical documentation and ensuring solutions align with industry best practices. Additionally, you will take the lead in presenting complex technical information to customers, facilitating discussions that drive collaboration and understanding.

 

Your expert knowledge of design, analysis, manufacturing, and support techniques will be crucial in delivering high-quality engineering solutions and driving innovation within Babcock.

 

About you   
 

Are you passionate about contributing to large-scale defence projects? Babcock Australasia is seeking an experienced Specialist Systems Engineer to support the delivery of our largest-ever contract, designed to equip the Australian Defence Force with cutting-edge capabilities.

 

As the Specialist Systems Engineer, you will bring deep specialist knowledge and expertise in a specific area of engineering, using your skills to inform key decisions and provide expert technical guidance to colleagues and the wider business.

 

With a strong understanding of engineering principles, you are confident in producing detailed technical documentation and delivering innovative solutions.

 

To be successful in this position you will bring:

 

Extensive experience in technical/engineering roles within a defence environment Possession of an accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or recognised engineering qualification Highly proficient in applicable engineering toolsets (e.g. PLM or MRP systems, design, simulation and analysis software). Proven experience in applying statistical analysis to data Experience in requirements definition, interface definition, subsystem design, installation supervision, set to work, and commissioning. Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Defence Security Clearance, as defined by AGSVA guidelines
