Summary:
The Wholesale Supply Specialist is responsible to establishing and maintaining supply/vendor relationships to support fuel supply needs. This position supports everything from buying, prospecting, selling, reviewing, and loading issues. This position is responsible for recognizing and defining market trends in both technical and fundamental markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Timely recognition of market trends and projections to assist in buying behavior
• Aid operations as necessary and ensure that customer agreements are fulfilled.
• Request information such as price, availability, and delivery.
• Review internal requisitions for accuracy, establish urgency requirements and locate acceptable alternatives as needed.
• Generate purchase order agreements.
• Expedite purchase orders as necessary to meet expectations.
• Interface with all departments and resolve problems related to order fulfillment and bill of product for both customer and vendor base.
• Maintains accurate source data, bills, and inventory.
• Seek new supplies to grow base and meet the demands and goals of the company.
• Updates supply database as necessary to maintain administrative accuracy.
• Will assist with quoting as needed.

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
• Experience: 0-2 years of buying/negotiation experience preferably in the energy field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint)
• The ability to effectively communicate complex technical matters
• Self-starter that works well in a team environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels both within and outside the organization
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience Working Conditions:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Usually, normal office working conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
