Position Overview:     Specialized Treatment Program Driver/ Floater is responsible for transporting residents to and from home visits, court appointments, sibling visits, and other necessary destinations. This role also involves driving the youth’s families to and from the campus, as well as transporting residents from cottages to community outings, medical appointments, and emergency room visits. Employee will be an integral member of an inter-disciplinary team who is expected to attend team meetings, annual trainings, participate in supervision and carry themselves as a role model at all times.

When not scheduled to drive, the Specialized Treatment Programs Driver/ Floater will carry out therapeutic, nurturing, structured and positive programming with emotionally, psychiatrically and/or behaviorally challenged youth.  The Specialized Treatment Programs Driver/ Floater shall use learned skills, professional knowledge and inter-personal skills to bring about positive changes.  

Position Qualifications:

High school diplomaMust possess the patience, tact, and understanding required to deal directly with youth with emotional disturbancesHas demonstrated the capacity to care for children in a nurturing and therapeutic manner.Must have knowledge of routes and highways in and around New York CityMust possess a valid NYS driving license

Sun, Mon off Tu W 12p-8p Thurs-sat-7-3pm

Sun-Thursday 12pm-8pm, Friday-sat off
