**Hiring for Specialties Supervisor** York, Pa **Job Description** We are seeking a Specialties Supervisor to oversee the specialties area with a focus on employee engagement and operational efficiency. This salaried position offers flexibility in scheduling, requiring a mix of 1st, 2nd, and some 3rd shift work. The ideal candidate will have a calm demeanor, strong supervisory skills, and experience in a heavy manufacturing environment. **Responsibilities** + Supervise a team of three team leads. + Set and manage flexible schedules, including 1st, 2nd, and some 3rd shifts. + Focus on employee engagement and maintaining a positive work environment. + Monitor and manage KPIs to ensure operational efficiency. + Apply Lean 6S principles to improve processes, even without formal certification. + Address and resolve issues on 2nd and 3rd shifts using a company-provided phone. + Act as an agent of change, overseeing the entire specialties building. + Handle tough conversations with a calm demeanor. + Work in a dusty and dirty environment with exposure to heavy machinery. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years in a supervisory role in a manufacturing setting. + Experience in a heavy manufacturing + Strong people management and supervisory skills. + Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Familiarity with Lean 6S principles. + No degree necessary. **Work Environment** This position is in a loud, dirty, and dusty environment. The dress code includes long pants and a t-shirt, with uniforms provided.
