We are looking for an efficient and energetic Registered Nurse to join our clinical education team as a Specialty Nurse Educator.
GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:
As a Nurse Educator you would collaborate with Unit/Department/Clinic Managers, nurse leaders, and other educators to provide educational programs with the goal of enhanced clinical practice, professional growth of the staff and the assurance of safe and effective healthcare to patients. You would maintain ongoing participation in the effective provision of professional development activities including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating educational activities according to established standards.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Three years of direct patient care experience in the role of a registered nurse required.
Experience in nursing education desirable.
Colleague must have an RN license, as defined by their primary work state (Idaho or Oregon), issued prior to hire date.
All colleagues must provide licensure or proof of application in process for the secondary state within 90 days of hire.
IDAHO ONLY: Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)
BLS, ACLS, PALS provider/instructor status desirable.
Certification in a clinical area or in Staff Development desirable.

Integrates research, evidence-based practice, and current literature into educational activities.
Reflects an integration of knowledge, skills, experience and attitude needed to present educational offerings to staff engaged in direct patient care, certification, accreditation, compliance standards and risk management.
Facilitates participation in the development, attainment and evaluation of nurse and other colleague orientation.
Participates in education needs assessment for Patient Care Services.
Provides focused education to specific units/clinics/departments.
Maintains records of educational offerings.
Maintains own clinical skills and competence related to clinical practice and staff development.
Demonstrates awareness of need for self-growth and pursues personal growth
