Job Posting TitleSpecialty Clinical Program Director II - RemoteJob DescriptionThe Specialty Clinical Program Director leads the overall clinical strategy, portfolio of clinical solutions, outcomes and tracking for specified therapeutic categories. This includes trend management, key capabilities, specialty programs including Best in Care guarantees and programs implemented at dispensing pharmacies. This position will establish and maintain cross functional partnerships with capability owners to drive successful execution of specialty programs. This position will be the subject matter expert for specific therapeutic categories for both internal and external stakeholders, including competitive intelligence.
Responsibilities
Develop clinical solutions and drive clinical strategy for specific therapeutic categories; oversee the development and implementation of product solutionsMaintain knowledge and provide insight into key Specialty industry trends and competitor products and servicesProvide support to Specialty program and product team in development and maintenance of any additional specialty solutionsSupport development, data management, maintenance, and analysis of various drug listsCollaborate with other stakeholders to manage/ monitor data in areas such as: trends, specialty network contracting, specialty classification, pharmacy and medical benefits, reimbursement solutions, drug accessServe as a clinical consultant to pharmaceutical manufacturing partners, providing expertise in specialty medication management and patient careCollaborate with clinical operations and manufacturers on drug or condition-specific clinical program design and therapeutic initiatives to optimize patient outcomesSupport development of clinical reporting capabilities to provide clinical insights on program performance, patient adherence, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholdersAnalyze and interpret clinical data, identifying trends to support drug utilization, cost-saving opportunities, and appropriateness evaluations for specialty therapiesAct as a subject matter expert in specialty pharmacy operations, addressing clinical inquiries and providing support for product and program launchesDevelop and deliver training and educational resources for healthcare providers and manufacturers on specialty drug therapies and care protocolsOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree and current pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy in the state where the position is located3 years of work experience in health care, including pharmacy experience in managed care or specialty pharmacyMust be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorshipAdditional Qualifications
Strong knowledge of specialty medications, therapies, and care models, with experience in a specialty pharmacy or pharmacy benefit management (PBM) setting.Advanced clinical knowledge of specialty medications, patient management, and disease states, with a commitment to patient-centered careProficient in data analysis using Excel (or similar software); experience managing and interpreting clinical and financial data to drive program insights.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to present complex clinical data and insights effectively to pharmaceutical partners.Ability to analyze market trends, clinical data, and business needs to develop strategic clinical programs in collaboration with manufacturing partners.Skilled in identifying and resolving clinical and operational issues, with a proactive approach to improving patient and partner experiencesPreferred Qualifications
