**Description** SAIC is seeking a Specialty Engineer to join our team at the Wright-Patterson AFB. Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results. **Essential Functions:** + Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. + Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. + Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. **Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; Graduate Degree and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience; Or 13 years of experience in lieu of degree + Must have active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a Top-Secret clearance **Preferred Qualifications:** + Active Top-Secret/SCI clearance + Experience with networking concepts, database management, deployment automation tools. + Experience with the Risk Management Framework process under DAAPM. + Experienced with complex troubleshooting. + Microsoft Windows MCSA, MCSE for Server 2016 - 2019. + Experience with VMWare and NetApp technologies. + Able to effectively communicate to the DoD engineering/program community. + Experience with Commvault Enterprise backup software.
