Hospital Director - VCA Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center, Norwalk, CT
Are you a dynamic leader passionate about veterinary healthcare? We are seeking an exceptional Hospital Director to join our team at VCA Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Norwalk, CT!
As the Hospital Director, you’ll lead the business operations of our specialty veterinary hospital, which includes departments in surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, and emergency care. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

+ Collaborate closely with our Medical Director and support our Supervisors and departmental Leaders, fostering a culture of excellence in service, teamwork, and workplace environment.

**What you will be doing but not limited to:**
+ Accountability for the hospital profit & loss statements
+ Responsibility to foster a collaborative and positive culture and work environment
+ Focus on exceeding client expectations
+ Oversight of Leaders/Supervisors and Medical Director who support approximately 75 associates including doctors, technicians, veterinary assistants, and paraprofessional staff
+ Develop and grow future leaders
+ Oversight and development of onboarding, training, and continuity programs
+ Cultivate relationships within the veterinary community
+ Support the recruitment of medical professionals
**Who we are looking for:**
+ Prior specialty/emergency veterinary management knowledge is a plus.
+ Strong leadership skills to develop a solid team and proven success in engaging with veterinary professionals
+ Excellent analytical and organization skills, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
+ Prior leadership for a specialty hospital or multi-site operational business
+ Proven experience building high performing teams
+ Ability to multi-task and deal with high levels of stress in an environment of changing priorities
+ Experienced record of generating revenue growth and ability to balance short-term needs and priorities while building for the future
**Special Working Conditions:**
+ Flexibility in schedule and hours of availability
+ The environment where pets are present
+ Periodic travel required
**Additional Information**
Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000-$110,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
