SUMMARY 

The Specialty Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for the setup/boarding, funding, maintenance, research and settlement of the banks most complex Specialty loan products, including: Participated bought and sold accounts, Syndications, Swaps, Serviced by Others, Letters of Credit, SBA, and NOAH. The Specialty Loan Servicing Specialists will be responsible for meeting completeness, turn time and accuracy requirements per established service level agreements.

ESSENTIAL DUITES & RESPONSBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned.

Performs requested file maintenance to Specialty loan products.Boards/Books Specialty closed loans to the Loan Servicing System, including compliance and collateral information.Reviews loan closing package and validates for completeness.Credits Loans in Transit General Ledger upon loan boarding.Upon validation of completeness of boarding package, boards loan, determines funding requirements and forwards to Loan Specialty Funding queue.Reviews file maintenance request processed and validated for accuracy and completeness.May be required to coordinate with internal departments and units in facilitating the boarding or file maintenance process.Performs booking and file maintenance activities in a timely and accurate manner.Performs job responsibilities in accordance with the completeness, accuracy and turn time standards per established service level agreements.Performs in depth analysis, ensuring timely and accurate settlement and reconcilement resolution.Establishes and maintains relationships with other lending institutions to share customer balances, statements and to reconcile differencesUnderstands and performs interest calculations using various accrual methods.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year College or University preferred; three or more years’ experience in in a financial institution with a focus on lending, specifically boarding or servicing experience including Consumer and Commercial credits, required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of loan documents and requirements and knowledge of commercial lending and loans required. Preferred candidate will have experience in servicing complex loan types and knowledge of internal banking systems.

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES

Good personal computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL, WORD & email required; self-starter and works with minimal direction; good verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills and team orientation; ability to meet deadlines; ability to appropriately escalate issues requiring problem solving and decision making.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Accepts shared ownership and accountability for results. Ability to carry out complex instructions and handle non-standard situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, see, stand, walk & use hands to type or write.  The employee frequently is required to sit.  The employee is required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee may lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

We offer a competitive total compensation package including base salary and benefits. The anticipated pay range for this position is $23.61 to $35.42 per hour in WA and depends on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, education, and geographic location. Benefits include, but are not limited to, medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability benefits and life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings account, employee assistance program, 401(k), Paid Time Off (new hires accrue at .069 per hours worked which equates to approximately 18 days per year inclusive of paid sick time) and up to 11 paid Federal holidays.
