Just a few of the reasons why St. Joseph’s Hospital is the better choice for health care. **Position Details:** + **Facility:** St. Joseph's Hospital + **Location:** Tampa, FL + **Status:** Full Time, hourly + **Shift Hours:** 8:00AM - 5:00PM + **Weekend Work:** None + **On Call:** No **Specialty Medication Coordinator Responsibilities:** + Obtain prior authorizations for specialty medications + Identify copay assistance including patient assistance programs and foundation assistance + Navigate prescriptions to appropriate specialty pharmacies for fulfillment, and offer BayCare HomeCare services to qualifying patients to optimize continuity of care. + Possess specific skills and training in managing financial and clinical information, working with financial eligibility or third-party programs, and effectively communicating with patients and caregivers throughout the prescription process. + Work with clinic staff and pharmacists to identify patients started on specialty medications, streamline prior authorizations turnaround time, and assist patient in obtaining other forms of financial assistance when possible. **Required Qualifications:** + High School Graduate or Equivalent GED + 1 year healthcare experience **Preferred Qualifications:** + Pharmacy Technician experience + Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) BayCare is all about making the most of your life and loving your career.
