VCA Veterinary Specialist of CT is seeking a Specialty Patient Care Attendant to join our Specialty Department. Currently, our specialty team consists of surgeons, a neurologist, criticalists, internists, MRI technologist, and canine rehabilitation practitioner. Included in our specialty team is an incredible group of veterinary technicians, assistants, and liaisons.

Job Description:

As an extension of the medical team, the Patient Care Attendant supports the veterinarians and veterinary technicians in ensuring quality veterinary care for all pets. Candidates need to possess strong communication skills, be highly-motivated, and able to handle high volume of tasks. Need to be able to be active throughout the day and lift at least 40 lbs. Applicable experience preferred.

Specialty Patient Care Attendant Responsibilities Include:

Animal Restraint;Cleaning and stocking the surgical suites;Running in-house lab work;Assisting with hands-free radiology;Supporting the team with cleaning and sterilizing instruments;Helping our specialty team move through their day efficiently;Assisting our Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner with Appointments

Job Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $16.50 - $19.00

Schedule: Preferred schedule is Monday through Friday 12 pm to 8 pm
