The Service Line Lead, Clinical Strategy and Practice Lead builds strategies for development, engagement, best clinical practices and processes for clinical community within the enterprise. The Clinical Strategy and Practice Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the strategic plan for the assigned service lines, in alignment with the organization’s overall mission and goals.Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for growth, service expansion, and market positioning.Lead long-term planning initiativesRegularly report on service line performance to senior leadership, making recommendations for improvement as needed.Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes, adapting strategies accordingly.Operational Oversight
Oversee day-to-day operations of the service lines, ensuring efficient workflows, optimal resource utilization, and compliance with regulatory standards.Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance patient care, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.Ensure clinical services are delivered in a timely, safe, and high-quality manner by collaborating with physicians, clinical staff, and support teams across all pertinent markets.Financial Management
Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising patient care and identify new cost savings (VBC) or revenue-generating opportunities.Work with contracting teams to negotiate Value Based Care agreements and physician compensation.Physician & Staff Engagement
Engage with physicians, clinicians, and support staff to foster a culture of collaboration, high performance, and accountability.Partner with Market Leaders to oversee physician recruitment, retention, and performance management for the service lines.Ensure alignment between physician compensation models and performance metrics such as quality, productivity, and patient satisfaction.Quality & Performance Improvement
Set and monitor quality, safety, and performance goals in collaboration with clinical leadership.Ensure the implementation of evidence-based best practices, clinical protocols/pathways, and regulatory compliance initiatives.Measure patient satisfaction and outcomes, addressing issues as they arise and identifying areas for improvement.Growth & Market Positioning
Identify and implement strategies to engage patients, expand services, and enhance the reputation of the service lines in the market.Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including payers, healthcare providers, and community organizations.Lead marketing and outreach initiatives to promote the service lines and increase patient referrals.Use your skills to make an impact
Education
Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
Experience
7+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, with at least 5 years in a physician group or multi-site healthcare setting.Proven track record of successfully managing multiple clinical service lines and driving performance improvements.Experience with physician alignment, clinical integration, and navigating value-based care environments.Skills
