Specification Brand Manager

The Specification Brand Manager role will support the Specification Marketing Manager in growing our share of the specification market within the UK and Ireland, ensuring the delivery of the Specification Marketing plan and is expected to monitor and report on campaigns that aim to disrupt the market. This role is responsible for producing impactful and meaningful communications to promote and engage with Specifiers. A key element of the role is to ensure all channels of communication (e.g. events, PR, social media) drive opportunities and raise brand awareness, identifying existing content from across the organisation to adapt and tailor it to the specific audience as well as creating unique and original content through collaboration – both internal and external to PPG.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to and support the Specification Marketing Manager in the execution and implementation of the annual Specification Marketing plan.In conjunction with the Specification Marketing Manager, develop and deliver a best-in-class social media strategy.Ensure all relevant Specification platforms and literature are up to date, monitored and improved where relevant to drive brand visibility and user engagement.Support the execution and delivery of trade shows and key industry events that drive awareness in the Specification sector.Identify thought-leadership opportunities and work cross-functionally to develop ideas from scratch and create proprietary content to fuel engagement via PR in key specification publications.Showcase our credibility through case studiesCreate content that is disruptive and drives high awareness and engagement across multiple platforms; PR, social media, internal communications, website content, thought leadership, CPDs and events that supports the overarching Specification Marketing plan.Listen to industry and influencer trends to identify relevant stories and content opportunities that align with the agreed Specification Marketing plan themes and objectives.Curate content and images from across the business, tapping into existing owned, social and third-party media to enhance and tailor the message to the Specification audience.Monitoring content trends and relevant industry news to ensure our approach is up to date.Working with PPG’s internal communications team develop strategies to engage employees by showcasing key Specification marketing activity.Support the Specification Marketing Manager and work with the wider Marketing team to ensure brand goals are aligned.Review, oversee and proof-read all copy targeting the Specifier market to ensure our output meets quality requirements. Analyse Specification marketing campaigns and use the insight to propose and implement action plans to strengthen performance.In conjunction with the Specification Marketing Manager, provide monthly progress reports and actions against the shopper marketing plan, budget and KPIsKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceEducated to degree standard (preferably in communications or equivalent) or qualified through appropriate levels of experienceExcellent written and oral communication skills with a strong eye for detail, and creative flair to create the most engaging stories (content) for the audience.A ‘can do’ attitude with a proven track record of delivering results in a profit-driven environmentExceptional interpersonal skills and experience in partnering with diverse and remote teams throughout the organization.Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Canva, Final Cut.Understanding and experience of writing content across various communication channels and creating relevant content and style to ensure results from these.Experience working in construction market desirable.Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to recognize key priorities and focus efforts where it will give the best return.Ability to prepare reports/presentations and able to analyse and disseminate information in a clear and concise manner under pressure and to deadlines.Self-drive and able to work under own initiative.Agency management experienceCreative flairPPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
