We are seeking a Specification Engineer to join our Sales team in Greece. The role involves the following tasks and responsibilities:
What you’ll do:A Specification Engineer is a highly technical seller who creates project specifications for others to quote and close. He/she uses his/her technical expertise to help customers identify the right products and systems for their projects and ensure that they meet required performance criteria. Specification Engineer works with other sales teams to accurately quote and close the products to customers, driving sales revenue through their technical expertise and customer relationships. As a Specification Engineer you will handle specification and prescription work for Power Distribution, UPS, Fire, Emergency Lighting, Energy Storage with consultants and end-users.
Visits Consultant/Specifiers – Contractors, provides effective solutions from the drawings to commercial offers and follows up the projects,
Present actual Eaton products/solutions offering to Consultants/Specifiers and to other customers in cooperation with sales representatives,
Present and make training for available Eaton tools suitable for Consultants/Specifiers - xSpider, xEnergy Configurator,...,
Ensures that Eaton deliver optimum technical solutions in order to meet the Consultant needs/End user Budget Expenses and maximize Eaton offering (LV, MV, Transformers, UPS; Emergency lighting,...),
Propose application specific solutions to the customers from industry/MOEM segment,
Create Eaton equivalent specifications based on given project specification,
Provides technical support to sales representatives/customers and supports the growth about project sales,
Supports sales representatives on the field in closing deals and getting orders,
Follow the local legal requirements and ensure that Eaton offering is aligned with local requirements,
Regular analysis and internal reporting about market trends, customer feedback in order to customize offering on the market.
Qualifications:Electrical engineering degree or technical degree
Minimum 2 to 5 years' experience in specification preparation, tendering process, technical support, contractual practices and procedures
Skills:Familiarity with design and construction practices, the project management environment and terminology and techniques
Ability to understand the technical implications and incorporate them into the specifications;
Deep Knowledge of Microsoft Office
AutoCAD for electrical drawings knowledge,
ePlan and Dialux knowledge is welcome
Well-developed organizational and analytical skills
Strong Communication and interpersonal skills - able to represent Eaton to technical managers externally and internally
Good knowledge of English language
