Team Summary
The Specified Solutions Advisor is a critical member of the Building and Roofing Science Team. This remote position will be responsible for developing specification opportunities for GAF | Siplast. This will be accomplished by working directly with architects, spec writers & roofing consultants. This position will work closely with the area Building Design Manager to build and maintain relationships with architects, specifiers, and key decision-makers and ensure that our products are incorporated into a wide range of construction projects.

Job Summary
The Specified Solutions Advisor will support GAF Commercial and Siplast sales teams. As a Specified Solutions Advisor, you will be focused on finding project opportunities where the Building Science team can add value and working with Territory Managers to turn each opportunity into a win. You will build relationships as a trusted advisor within the design and commercial real estate community through focused outreach at bid walks, trade shows, presentations, product demonstrations, and meetings.

Essential Duties

Focus: Pinpoint market opportunities with Building Owners/Facilities Managers/Community Associations, Spec Writers, Architects, Consultants, and; with the mindset to build lasting and meaningful relationships. Expect to juggle competing priorities and client requests/deadlines regularly.Industry Engagement & Relationship Building: Display diplomacy and a mastered ability to build immediate rapport with anyone. Make your presence known at conventions and design industry events (AIA, IIBEC, CSI, SCIP, BEC, and ASLA) and be constantly networking to become a trusted advisor to existing and potential decision makers to influence the selection and specification of our products in construction documents.Influence Specifications: Actively engage with Building Owners/Facilities Mangers/Community Associations who work with the architects/specifiers that the BDMs are working with to influence the selection and specification of our products in construction documents. Provide technical expertise and recommendations to ensure that our products meet the design and performance requirements of each project.Train and Educate: Coordinate with building design managers and local territory sales managers to co-host educational programs and architectural engagement. Utilize current marketing tools (AIA presentations, literature, samples, etc.) to support selling efforts.Technical Support and Consultation: Thrive on expert problem solving, determining solutions that execute favorable results. Provide guidance and support throughout the specification process to ensure that our products meet the design and performance requirements of each project. Assist in the development of project-specific solutions that align with design intent and project goals and bring in Building Design Managers to support upselling and cross selling through building science principles. Navigate when to defer to a client's request vs. when to guide a client to make better choices.Manage: Display strong follow-up and follow-through by delivering solutions in a timely manner and maintaining contact from design to bidding. Set alerts in construction journals to manage, track, calendarize, and distribute significant projects to increase sales opportunities for the assigned Area throughout a multi-month or multi-year sales cycle. Accountable for utilizing commercial construction data base (Dodge), spec data (SpecLink & MasterSpec), industry events, CRM, and GAF website for lead generation.Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the sales team and building science team to align architectural engagement strategies with overall sales objectives. Communicate effectively across departments to ensure a unified approach to market engagement. Work closely with the regional sales teams (GAF & Siplast) to identify influential architects and specifiers, and bring them into the project teams to track projects to sale.Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to stay ahead of industry developments. Utilize social media to gain further insight in the market i.e. industry trends, market practices and use it to communicate with customers. Share insights with the sales and product development teams to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.Thrive: Know how to have fun, but know how to balance it with work. Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s Degree5+ years of sales experience or 5+ years in the building material industry is preferred.Experience in consultative selling of roofing materials to design professionals and commercial property owners.Valid driver’s license is required.Ability to travel within assigned territory - between 1-2 weeks a month.


Qualifications Preferred

Technical and professional knowledge of the roofing industry.Strong Public Speaking skills - able to present well to large groups and foster engaging conversations through open-ended questions.Computer skills including Google Business Suite.Experience with SalesForce is preferred.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Must be highly motivated, energetic, and persuasive.Ability to multi-task and work independently.Industry certifications such as CDT, LEED AP, RRO, RRC are highly preferred.

Consideration will be given based on geography, candidate experience, and qualifications.

Annual Salary Range: 126,000-161,000

Annual Bonus Range: 24,000-33,000
