Our role will serve afternoon shifts (12:00 PM – 7:30 PM, Monday – Friday) with weekend and holiday rotations (6:00 AM – 3:30 PM). In this role, there will be the opportunity to –

Demonstrate service orientation by conveying courtesy, respect, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude in all work interactions. Monitor pneumatic tube and courier deliveries to ensure the timely processing and receipt of specimens. Investigate and resolve specimen-related issues, requesting assistance when necessary to maintain accurate workflows. Complete and submit quality control forms for unacceptable specimens, documenting errors and issues for resolution. Perform centrifugation, label aliquot tubes, and transfer specimens in accordance with established protocols, ensuring proper storage. Enter specimen receive times, patient requisition data, and results into the laboratory information system (LIS) accurately and promptly. Verify specimens, including blood, urine, and other body fluids, by cross-checking labels and requisitions for correct matching. Disinfect work areas regularly and participate in training new employees to ensure a clean and effective laboratory environment.
