Position Summary
Will work as back up for several FH Lab Collection Centers and at MRH OP Lab, performing phlebotomy and specimen processing.
ResponsibilitiesObtains blood specimens by venipuncture and capillary methods from all age groups. Provides direction/education for the collection of urine, stool, breath tests and other laboratory specimens. Processes and prepares lab specimens for transport to the testing lab. Performs lab order entry and result distribution, to maintain continuity of care.
QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Program, Medical Assisting Program, or a minimum of 6 months full time experience in phlebotomy required. ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
