As a Specimen Management Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring complete traceability and accountability of all samples collected, received, and/or shipped. **What you’ll be doing:** + Ensuring all samples are accurately identified, sorted, and labeled for testing and/or storage. + Identifying errors or potential problems and escalating to senior level staff. + Notifying customers of receipt and engaging as necessary regarding routine inquiries. + Maintaining freezer and inventory. + Guiding entry level staff on basic department procedures and assisting with onboarding of new staff. + Supporting and responding to after-hour alarms and/or other job critical functions. + Supporting safety, quality, and 6S requirements and initiatives. + Notifying appropriate staff of supply shortages. **What We Are Looking For:** + High school diploma required. + Shipping and receiving experience preferred. + Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree. **The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:** + Basic knowledge of laboratory systems and procedures. + Good working knowledge of relevant procedures. + Knowledge of GLP regulations preferred. + Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. **What We Offer You:** We put our employees at the center of everything we do and are committed to providing them, and their families, with benefits that meet their diverse and changing needs.
