**The Role** : Sensus, a Xylem brand, seeks to hire a highly motivated RF Spectrum Support Engineer that will help provide support with regards to maintaining FCC license mandates, spectral usage and management of licenses as well as projecting coverage of license allocation for Basic Economic Areas for MAS licenses and PCS licenses owned by Xylem.
This individual will also support the RF Design team with analyses of existing and future Smart Grid networks when additional detailed analysis is needed for specific applications. Other responsibilities include teaming with Sales and Marketing to understand the network impacts of new features.
Applicant pursues total customer satisfaction through completing detailed requests for on time delivery. Solicits input from Sales, Marketing, and RF Engineers while working with other functional groups in an effort of developing and improving current processes.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Network traffic and spectrum allocation for Xylem networks
+ Quality control of customer provided data and service area boundary files
+ Creation of service area maps for contracts and spectrum leases
+ Analysis of RF signal levels at critical borders such as Canada, Mexico, BEAs, Quiet Zones, customers, etc.
+ Computation of population and square miles covered by each utility customer
+ Spectrum Database Management
+ Support groups responsible for pre and post sales requirements
+ Support of groups where capacity of networks may contribute to performance issues
+ Analyzes sales input about customers’ networks to meet current and future needs
+ Leads and/or participates in inter-departmental related projects defining or refining processes and procedures
**Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of job experience is required.
+ Intermediate working knowledge of GIS mapping applications such as MapInfo ESRI ARC products, Google Earth, and USGS terrain databases
+ RF Engineering Network experience using propagation modeling tools, with Forsk Atoll knowledge a plus
+ Command of the Microsoft Office Professional suite
+ Ability to create scripting as needed to automate, support and improve processes and tasks
+ Ability to work as part of a team and as well as independently
+ Ability to work under pressure and provide high quality solutions to problems.
+ Effective organizational and interpersonal communication skills
+ Excellent command of both verbal and written aspects of the English language

Salary range:
$86,700.00 - $156,100.00
