Primary Function: Under the supervision of a Speech and Language Pathologist, the Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) provides services to students with disabilities in accordance with IEP goals; assists in case management of services to students; maintains records and documentation. The SLPA focuses on developing students’ oral communication skills to support their ability to access their educational program.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: (*) A bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders from an institution listed in the Accredited Institutions of Postsecondary Education handbook and completion of 100 hours of fieldwork or clinical experience from a Board-approved program;  (*) TB Test clearance & DOJ fingerprinting clearance;  (*) Possess/maintain valid infant, child and Adult CPR/First Aid/AED certification
