Overview We are seeking aSpeech Language Pathologist (SLP), internally referred to as our Speech Therapist or Speech-Language Therapist. As our Speech Language Pathologist, you are responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PRN. Shift’s Available: Days Employment Type:Per Diem (PD/PRN) Hours:8-hour shift: Weekday and Weekend hours available Location: Providence Medical Center - Kansas City, KS Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: + Competitive compensation + Medical insurance benefit plan + 401K Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): + Provide coverage for inpatients in the acute care setting + The candidate who fills this position will provide coverage for hospital inpatients in the acute care setting + Responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician + 90%-95% of our referral are swallow related; we do some cognitive/speech evaluations and treatment as well + Assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department + Weekend shifts are on-call shifts with on-call pay if called in Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
