LOCATION: Multi Location QUALIFICATIONS: + Masters Degree in Speech and Language Pathology + Valid Arkansas license in Speech and Language Pathology REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education JOB GOALS: To help reduce or eliminate speech impediments that interfere with the individual student's ability to derive full benefit from the district's educational program. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: + Evaluate and diagnose communication disorders according to state and federal special education guidelines. + Participate in evaluation conferences. + Implement an individual education plan for assigned students. + Cooperate with teachers and parents by providing information, discussing appropriate goals and offering any other assistance. + Monitor and conduct ongoing evaluation of student progress. + Participate in parent conferences to review students' progress. + Conduct a conference when additional changes or discontinuance of a special program is indicated. + Cooperate in the districts' inservice training program. + Maintain special education due process/work files. + Document progress of students and maintain information needed for Medicaid billing. + Know Board of Education policies, Desegregation Plan, district and school guidelines and regulations and adhere to the same. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary Range: Range 11 - Support Staff Daily Salary Schedule ($293.46/day – $430.68/day depending on relevant experience) Length of Contract: 187 contract days FLSA Status: Exempt Personnel Status: Classified Benefits Eligible: Yes EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated according to provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Support Staff Personnel.
