Position Description
The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant assists theSpeech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services. TheSpeech Language Pathologist Assistant will have clinical, educational,documentation, and treatment related activities while working within the scopeof responsibilities/ plan of care assigned by the Speech Language Pathologistand/or physician.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be a graduate of a SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice One (1) year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred; TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of ageGeneral
· $49 hourly
· TeriCampus of Life – SLPA
· Location: Oceanside,CA (see address for both schools)
· Setting: TwoK-12 schools
· CountrySchool – Mild/Mod school with 20 students. Majority verbal. **2 days here**
· LearningAcademy – Mod/Severe school. Each student has a 1:1 BT. Special needs andaggressive students. **3 days here**
· Details: Workas SLPa with the students 1:1 and sitting in on IEP meetings. This will be 2days at Country School and 3 days at Learning Academy. MUST be comfortable withthe severity at County School.
· Schedule: Mon-Fri35 hours/week (2 days at Country School and 3 days at Learning Acadey)
· Ages: K-12
· StartDate: ASAP
· Duration: Fullschool year
