Overview The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for administering speech/language and dysphagia diagnostic and treatment services to patients and maintaining appropriate records. Position provides age specific direct patient care according to the department's scope of services and is responsible for observing and evaluating treatment effect and results and discuss them with the patient, family, team and management. The primary setting for this position is the 98 bed Rehab Hospital on the Raleigh campus and may be required to cover other areas of the WakeMed Rehab Continuum as needed. Populations served include stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, other neurological issues as well as post-surgical orthopedics, multi-trauma and debility for both adult and pediatric populations. primarily for pediatrics ages 3- 18 years old of all diagnoses and adult patients . EOE Licensure Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist And Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Required Education Master's Degree Speech Language Pathology Required Experience 2 Years Clinical - Speech/Language Pathology Preferred. Pediatric experience required.
