Job Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluating patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions for individuals with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disordersThe SLP maintains accurate and timely documentation, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and supports patient and family education to promote optimal functional independence and patient-centered outcomesEssential Functions
Conduct evaluations and assessments appropriate to age and diagnosis, including developmental, cognitive, speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disordersDevelop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals in collaboration with the patient, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teamImplement evidence-based therapeutic interventions in a timely and appropriate mannerReassess patient condition and update treatment goals and plans as neededProvide patient and family education and counseling related to speech-language and swallowing needsAccurately document treatment sessions, assessments, progress, and discharge plansCoordinate care with physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff to ensure consistent and effective rehabilitation plansParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetings, care planning, and quality improvement initiativesSupervise clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel as applicableEnsure compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and facility policiesKnowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to speech, language, and swallowingProficient in the use of assessment tools, therapy materials, and documentation systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to function independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamStrong organizational, prioritization, and time management skillsFamiliarity with ASHA and state practice standardsSeeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) interested in picking up shifts PRN.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology requiredCompletion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required.Licenses/Certifications
Current licensure to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in applicable stateBasic Life Support (BLS) certification required within time frame required by facility policyCertificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferredVitalStim certification preferred.Experience
One (1) year of experience in a rehabilitation or acute care setting preferredEducation
