The Opportunity  

The Speech-Language Pathologist will be responsible for providing intervention in the areas of articulation, language, and fluency. They will assess student needs, provide high-quality speech and language therapy, and collaborate with both school personnel and families to provide services to students. Every child deserves to reach their full potential and we’re looking to hire an exceptional clinician who will play an essential role in fueling student success. 

  

Essential duties 

Designs and implements intervention programs, which remediate deficit speech/language skills of identified studentsWorks with school personnel and parents to design and implement the student’s intervention plan, individual service plan, or individual student plan most appropriate to address the student’s needOffers consultation and collaboration with school staff and parents in support of student’s speech language goalsActs as a resource to parents, school personnel and other caregivers in the area of speech/language developmentAdministers appropriate screening and/or diagnostic tests to determine child’s speech/language competency, if requestedInterprets diagnostic tests, identifies strengths and weaknesses in areas of speech/language skills, and generates reports providing feedback to school personnel and parentsIs knowledgeable concerning all policies and procedures as established for these servicesCompletes required paperwork in an accurate and timely mannerLight lifting, walking, and/or climbing stairs may be required


The Qualifications 

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning requiredMaster’s Degree from an ASHA accredited university is requiredValid Speech-Language Pathologist license/credential is requiredCertificate of Clinical Competency is preferredExperience working with students in a school setting is preferred
