Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, is building a new rehabilitation hospital in Apex, North Carolina, Peak Rehabilitation Hospital. Expected to open in 2025, this 52-bed, 62,000-square-foot, two-story, inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital operating jointly with Lifepoint Rehabilitation, Duke Health and WakeMed, is more than a job. It’s a chance to be a vital member of an interdisciplinary team caring for people in the heart of North Carolina who need continued care to recover completely.
A bachelor’s and master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or similarly title area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing AssociationPossess or eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligibleto participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow (CFY)Licensed or eligible for licensure in stateCurrent Basic Life Support/CPR cardPeak Rehabilitation Hospital strives to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. What you will do in this role:
Performs patient assessmentProvides care in accordance with physician’s orders and established plan of careAssesses the effectiveness of treatment and modifies treatment to achieve goalsPlans for patient discharge.
