Under the supervision of the Program Manager and Clinical Supervision of the Speech Language Pathology Practice Manager, the Speech Language Pathology Assistant is directed and supervised by the Speech Pathologist of record to perform specific components of the Speech Pathology interventions for children 2 to 5 years old. The speech pathology assistant may modify an intervention only in accordance with the changes in patient/client status and within the scope of the plan of care that has been established by the speech pathologist and in accordance with the patients/client's mental health goals. The speech language pathologist assistant follows an individualized performance development plan to maintain current knowledge and be competent in critical areas, while supporting day treatment plan goals, objectives, functions and philosophy within a multidisciplinary team.

Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree - Accredited and board approved SLPA program Bachelor's Degree in Speech language pathology or communication disorders from an accredited and board approved program or equivalent educ/experience California Speech Language Pathologist Assistant License upon hire Successful completion of 70 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent Experience working with children 2 to 5 years oldWhy Join Providence?
