The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats a variety of communication/swallowing disorders but is not limited to aphasia, voice, speech/language, closed head injury deficits (cognitive, linguistic, memory, attention), fluency (including stuttering), aural rehabilitation, non-verbal (augmentative communication), oral and pharyngeal stage of swallowing.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and recommend diagnostic reports for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology services. Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, including professional licensure and certifications. Provide diagnostic evaluations and speech pathology treatments to clients. Attend and contribute to staff meetings, development programs, and in-service education. Adhere to organizational policies and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards. Keep accurate records of patient progress and therapy sessions. Deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude towards all stakeholders. Gather comprehensive historical information for client assessments. Compile and report data for the Speech-Language Pathology Programs’ needs. Coordinate client evaluations, scheduling, and treatment plans to ensure high productivity and quality care.
