Responsibilities

· Screen and/or evaluate speech, language or swallowing disorders in patients of all ages

· Formulate diagnosis, prognosis, recommendations and communicate these to patient, family and other appropriate professionals.

· Provide education and communication to patients, families, other professionals and the community regarding communication and swallowing disorders.

· Formulate goals and implement therapy techniques and procedures that are appropriate for the patients age, skill level and diagnosis.
